Dhoomakethu traps a wedding day in a time loop

Dhoomakethu takes a familiar comedy setup and gives it a supernatural twist. Sajin Gopu plays Kuttan, a groom who dreams of his own death and then wakes up on his wedding day to find himself stuck in a loop, living through the same events again and again.

Directed by Sudhi Maddison, the film mixes black comedy with suspense. Nikhila Vimal stars opposite Sajin, with Ganapathi S. Poduval in the ensemble.

The makers have leaned into the Halloween window for the release, positioning it as an alternative to the season’s bigger titles. The film’s premise gives the cast plenty of room for repeated, escalating set pieces.
